Go is a strategy board game for two players. The participants use a square grid checkerboard and a black or white circular stones（The playing pieces）to play the game. The two sides alternately play chess. The goal is to surround more territory than the opponent.
Go was invented in China more than 4,000 years ago and is believed to be the oldest board game to date. It is considered one of the four cultured aristocratic Chinese scholars (poetry ,painting, palying the zither and playing the GO itself) in antiquity.
In 1952, archeologists discovered a stone chessboard in the Tomb No. 1 of the Eastern Han Dynasty in Hebei.

Since the Tang Dynasty, Go has gradually gone abroad. The first was Japan, and later Baekje, Korea, and Silla on the Korean peninsula, especially Silla which had often sent messengers to Tang, and the exchange of Go is a common thing.
